Serradora Boix, S.L. has been awarded a grant within the framework of the aid program for thermal renewable energies in different economic sectors, as part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
This economic support, with an amount of €427,500 on a total investment of €1,362,209.89, has allowed us to carry out a key action for the future of the company: the replacement of the old boiler with one equipped with state-of-the-art electrofilters that drastically reduces emissions and complies with the 2030 agenda.
This project is part of the new production line for CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) that we are developing and which represents a significant expansion of our production capacity. The new installation not only responds to growing energy needs but does so by maintaining a firm commitment to biomass as a renewable energy source, consistent with the principles of the circular economy.
For years, Serradora Boix has been incorporating environmental criteria into our investments and strategies. This action is another example of our active commitment to the energy transition, reducing our carbon footprint, and the responsible use of natural resources.
