Grup Boix will participate for the first time as an exhibitor at REBUILD 2026, the leading innovation event for the building sector in Spain, to be held from March 24 to 26 at IFEMA Madrid. The company’s presence at the fair marks a new step in its strategy to position itself within the industrialised construction sector through structural timber solutions.
With more than fifty years of experience in forest management and wood transformation, the Berguedà-based company will use its presence at REBUILD to present its timber-based construction solutions, with a particular focus on CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) panels, a key material in the development of more sustainable, efficient, and industrialised building systems.
An industrial leap with CLT production
Participation in REBUILD follows the commissioning of Grup Boix’s new CLT industrial plant in Puig-reig, a project involving an investment of €40 million and representing one of the most significant technological advances in the structural timber sector in Catalonia.
This facility enables the transformation of locally sourced timber into high-performance structural panels for construction, strengthening the group’s vertically integrated model—from forest management to the production of value-added construction solutions.
“Timber construction is entering a new phase of industrialisation, and we want to be part of this shift. With our new CLT plant and our presence at REBUILD, we are taking a step forward to position ourselves as an industrial supplier to the sector,” explains Carles Martí, CEO of the group.
In addition to CLT, Grup Boix will showcase other structural timber solutions at the fair, including glulam (glued laminated timber), primarily used for structural beams, as well as BOIX Monocapa panels, a solid pine finger-jointed edge-glued panel made from bonded lamellas. This product, designed for applications such as cladding, furniture, and other construction uses, reflects the company’s long-standing expertise in the production of high-quality solid wood products.
Participation in the Advanced Architecture and Construction 4.0 Congress
Alongside its exhibition space, the group will also take part in the Advanced Architecture and Construction 4.0 Congress, which brings together more than 700 national and international experts to discuss key industry trends.
In this context, David Masachs, CLT Projects Commercial Director at Grup Boix, will participate as a speaker in the roundtable “Sounds Wood Meeting. Challenge of Wood”, taking place on March 24 at 10:45 a.m. at the Auditorium Lignum Tech.
The session will address the role of timber in the new construction model, alongside other industry experts such as Juan Antonio Gómez-Pintado, Susana Jara, Ismael Olveira, and María Teresa Verdú Martínez.
A new player in timber construction
With its participation at REBUILD 2026, Grup Boix presents itself to the market as a new player in the production of structural timber solutions for industrialised construction. The company believes that materials such as CLT will play a key role in transforming the construction model, thanks to their ability to reduce the environmental impact of buildings, improve construction efficiency, and drive industrialisation across the sector.
The event will bring together more than 30,000 professionals — including contractors, architects, and engineers — and over 750 exhibiting companies, consolidating its position as the leading meeting point for the building sector in areas such as industrialisation, sustainability, and digitalisation.
Grup Boix will exhibit in Hall 8, Stand 8A113.
